Reviews

Overall: They are great with online auctions, they help give you insight and ideas to help you reach your goal
Pros: Customer service is great and friendly. They are knowledgeable and help you succeed. Quick responses anytime I had a question.
Cons: I wish they had a built in duplicate checker for donors who register twice. You have to run a report that shows you duplicates but it would be nice to check for duplicates without running a report.

Overall: I could be a sales rep for One Cause because I love it that much! I have influenced 3 other non-profits within my community to purchase the software. I also helped in getting them going with their setup.
Pros: After participating in the One Cause University, I felt very accomplished and capable. What I love the most, is the seemingly endless supply of functionality! The reports are amazing and easy to access. The ease of designing your event page is wonderful. Even the smallest of events appear grand when One Cause is the incorporated. I have recommended the software to 3 local nonprofits and even assisted them in getting started on the setup.
Cons: One small enhancement- I would request that within one event have the capability to divert funds into separate banking accounts. Example- Fixed price items be processed in one account, silent/ live auction proceeds in a different account. I have not used the software for an in person event, so can’t speak to it’s ticketing abilities.

OneCause was used just by the development department for our recent gala and auction. It was also used by our event planner and appropriate vendors. For us OneCause handled pre-event registration, auction setup (silent and live), ticketing and table assignment, and payment processing for credit card gifts/purchases with the ability to manually add non-credit transactions.
Pros and Cons
Registration was easy
Credit payments were easy
Add decimal points for gifts…couldn’t believe it couldn’t handle that and it matters for monetary reconciliations
If a payment was a credit card, we were unable to change the transaction type (ex. from ticket to donation) without refunding and recharging, which was uncomfortable for our donors.

What do you like best?
The incredible information and reports you can pull. The ease of communicating with donors is wonderful, once the text and email messages are set up.

What do you dislike?
The setup work is time consuming, especially since you are new to the site and unfamiliar with all the steps. Tutorials are great, but when you are a one-man show, your time is at a premium spent setting up all the parts.

What do you like best?
One Cause is easy to use and the staff has been very supportive when we had questions or needed help to get started. The platform is also very flexible. We originally purchased it to use for our annual fundraising event, but have since found ways to use it for fundraising throughout the year.

What do you dislike?
Page layout is somewhat limited within the templates, but I understand that this is necessary to maintain the functionality. And I have been able to make things look the way I wanted them to, even within the confines of the templates.
